- Alpine Engineering has conducted relay application studies and
replacement of old electromechanical station service protection relays
with microprocessor
based relays at a major (900 MW) thermal generator station and at a
major (3000 MW) hydroelectric
generating station on the BC Hydro system.
- Litigation investigation and expert witness services into
porcelain insulator failures is ongoing.
- Litigation and expert witness activities are ongoing for an
electrocution in the USA.
- Several electrical/fire forensic investigations are being
undertaken for law firms and insurance companies
involving equipment failures, conductor/cable failures, insulation
failures, arcing,
and fires of disputable origin.
- Electrical safety projects are in progress involving hospital,
industrial, and high voltage testing

- A feasibility study is planned to determine if an on-line,
in-service U/G Cable Diagnostic system

- Albert Reed, P.Eng. (REPCo Engineering) has
been awarded a Master's degree in Fire Protection
Engineering (First class honours across the board) from

of the elected Board of Trustees for the Gabriola Fire Protection
Improvement District.
